Anyway, enough with the essay!!! Here are two layouts that I have created for Scrapz' current Scrap That Ad competition;

We Still Call St Kilda Home
Patterned paper - Little Yellow Bicycle, The Girl's Paperie, Alphas - Basic Grey, Labels - Dymo, Tape - Pretty Tape, craft supply (masking tape), Mesh - unknown, Tag - Making Memories, Charm - Making Memories, Twine - Papertrey Ink, Rub-ons - Basic Grey, Stamp - Studio Calico, Ink - Tsukineko, Machine thread - craft supply.
This layout was my entry for Round 1 which was to be inspired by a Qantas ad, and to incorporate a list (journalling labels), Australian ephemera (Australia Post receipts), and the word Australia (printed on receipts). I've since changed this layout slightly, and it has become one of my fave layouts ever! Something about a grubby-looking layout that I just love!
Next up is my layout for Round 2;

Happy Little Vegemite
Cardstock - Bazzill, Patterned paper - October Afternoon, Chipboard alphas - Twiddleybitz, Alpha stickers - Sassafras Lass, Stickers - October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket, Mist - Crafty Notions, Stamp - Stampin' Up!, Ink - Tsukineko.
Quite possibly one of worst layouts ever, but it was made in the days after James left so was pretty much the best I could muster.
For this challenge we had to create a layout inspired by a Vegemite ad, that included the word happy (stamping), the Vegemite colour scheme (red, yellow, black, and white), and a diamond (on arrow sticker and patterned paper).
Needless to say, this layout ended up in the trash! That was the only place for it! LOL!
Well, that's it for me for a little while.
Thanks for dropping by!

That's a big adjustment for your little family Chloe. Hope you all cope ok with this change. xx
Come here girl, so I can give you a big hug. My hubby does the same thing and it's like riding a roller coaster. I so understand, it's hard. Some days are better than others. Don't be so hard on yourself, give yourself some time to adjust xoxo
Chloe, you are amazing, firstly taking on the challenge of looking after the kids while hubby works away, now dont be hard on yourself ok :)
Love what you created and always love reading your blog :)x
Chloe I know exactly where you're coming from! It's such a huge adjustment for the whole family...and you especially with so much more to deal with. It does take time...and the fact that you've managed to scrap a couple of pages is fantastic in amongst everything else! Just do what you can and go with it. :)
Sheree xx
