Holy crap! How quick has this year gone already?! It's less than 4 weeks until that magical day when we all get to gorge ourselves with chocolate eggs and chocolate bunnies and... mmm!!!
In preparation for Easter I have so far made a few Easter cards and yesterday I added to that a single-page layout. I cannot show you it in it's entirety as it is being taught as a class at Just Scrapbooking next month. Instead, here's a sneak peek;
I have found it to be near impossible to find any nice Easter-themed ranges so far this year, so whe it came to creating this layout I decided to opt for I the WRMK Heart Attack line (which is actually a Valentine's range!) because I think the bright colours and patterns are well suited to Easter, especially the Honey Bunny and Twitterpated pieces
I also had a chance over the weekend to create a card using this fortnight's Wicked Princesses Card Challenge sketch. This fortnight's sketch was created by Krissy. Here it is;
And here's my take, made using only scrap pp;
For your chance to win a $10 store voucher, use this sketch to create your own card and upload it to the Wicked Princesses gallery by Midnight March 31st. Easy!!!
Well that's it for today... have a great week!

The remaining two cards will remain a secret until the 27th March, when I will be hosting this month's online class.
If you would like to be a part of the class, all you need to do is buy the March Card Kit, then log into the online class section of the blog on using the log-in details provided. It should be lots of fun!!!
Now, for the moment I'm sure you have all been waiting for... the announcement of the winner of my giveaway... I entered the numbers 1 through to 10 into Random.Org's Integer Generator, and here's what came up...
Here are your random numbers:
7
Timestamp: 2009-03-12 08:03:14 UTC
The seventh person to post a comment below was Tanya! Congratulations Tanya! Please email me with your address and I will pop your stamp into the mail right away!!!
Lastly, I would like to share my last and most exciting reveal... the first ultrasound pics of my bub-to-be!!! These photos were taken as part of my 12 week NT scan on the 10th March. I won't bore you with all 45 of them, but instead just a few of my favourites...
Bub's profile;
Close-up of Bub's profile;
Bub's face (look's like something from outer-space!);
Bub's spine;
And, last of all, is my absolute favourite... bub's foot! There is something about baby feet that make me all mushy and squishy!!! They are too cute!
The first question everyone has been asking is, "Did you find out the sex?" Besides the fact I reckon it's probably too early to tell, we didn't ask so we don't know. My partner really wants to find out but I think I'd like to keep it a 'surprise'. Aside from clothes, there is nothing I really need to buy that is sex-specific so I don't see the point. I think it might be kinda fun having to wait and wonder for the next 6 months!!!
I'd love to know whether or not you chose to find out the sex of your children before they were born, and for what reasons you made that decision. Please leave a comment!!!
On a far less positive note, I have some news I feel I should share as I have already had a few emails regarding it... Today the 2009 DT at Scraptacular was announced via email... much to my surprise. As you probably know, a part of my prize for winning SYTYCS last year was that I was given a place on the DT. However, my name is not on the list, and I will not be a part of the team. I am upset, but that's life. I am really happy for the girls who have got this great opportunity to design for Scraptacular. All the best Catherine, Debbie, Kassi, Lisa, and Kerry. I hope you have a great time... just wish I could have shared the opportunity with you!
Well, that's it for today! Do pop over to the WP blog and check out the great work by the DT, as well as the gallery which is filling fast with Card Sketch Competition entries! Great work ladies!!!

My LONG Weekend of Creating!!!
Here in Perth it is a long weekend. Don't ask me why or what for... an extra day off work sounds pretty good to me! LOL!
I have well and truly made the most of my free time this weekend, getting creative on both Sunday with Mum and today at home...
Yesterday I created two layouts for donation to Sarah Gladman's Memory Gifts appeal for the victims of Victoria's recent bushfires (you can find most of the info you will need to participate here). I made one birthday layout and one Christmas layout. Here they are;
We have been collecting layouts for the appeal at my place of work, Just Scrapbooking, for a couple of weeks now. The response had been incredible, with many layouts being made and donated to the cause. Some of our regular customers have not scrapped there own photos for some time, opting to create as many layouts as possible for those in need. In comparison to these incredible women, my two-layout-effort seems a little poxy... but I am reassured that every little bit helps in a big way.
On Sunday I also made an Easter-themed card using the Heart Attack range by WRMK;
I experimented with edging my paper pieces with white paint (and my finger!!!). Pretty cool technique me thinks!
Lastly, today I made a card using this fortnight's Wicked Princesses' Card Challenge Sketch, as created by my fellow DT-er, Tanya Tahir. Here's her sketch;
... and here's my take;
For this card I flipped the sketch upside-down, placing the sentiment at the top and the larger embellishment at the bottom-right. I have used product from Making Memories' Animal Crackers range, plus BG's Micro-chip alphas painted brown.
Each fortnight Tanya, Krissie, or myself will provide the readers of the Wicked Princesses blog with a card sketch that you can use to create your own card. In doing so, you could win yourself a $10.00 store voucher... so you can buy your very own Wicked Princesses kit! Woo hoo!!! All cards should be loaded into the relevant gallery by midnight March 15th to be in the running to win the fortnightly prize. Why not give it a go?! I'd love to see what you come up with!

Almost Famous!!!
Today I am kinda, almost but not really famous!!! I have been published in Becky Fleck's March PageMaps newsletter!!! I stalked the site all day yesterday, but cos the US is way behind in time, it was not until this morning that I finally saw my page in print. I must admit... it's a wee bit exciting!!!
I was given a 12x12 double layout sketch to complete;
As I usually scrap singles I did find this a challenge, but I am pretty happy with how i turned out... and I'd want to be after fiddling with it daily for about 2 weeks!!! I have such a hard time committing!!! LOL! Anyway, here's my layout;
I have used pp from Sassafrs Lass, Basic Grey, Scenic Route, and Pink Paislee, plus BG Microchip alphas, Scenic Route chip alphas, and Heidi Swapp acrylic Ghost Shape stars edged with acrylic paint.
I hope you like my efforts!!!
In other news, I am still feeling queasy and extremely tired as a result of being pregnant. I am hoping that in two-and-a-half weeks, when I reach 13 weeks, I might start feeling more like myself again. Fingers crossed!!! I had a blood test last week and will be having my first ultrasound next week on the 10th. My partner and I are both really excited, counting down the days until we see our new baby (or babies! EEK!) for the first time. We still haven't told our daughter the big news, but hopefully once we have the ultrasound pic to show her we might just be abe to explain it so she will understand. I'm sure she'll be very excited as she has been asking for a baby brother or sister for some time now.
Well, that's it for me for now. I will be back either tonight or tomorrow to share the work that I have done over the long weekend.
Have a great day!!!
